This book was never meant to be simply a record of our family history.
 
It is a collection of lives well lived, stories lovingly remembered, and memories that might otherwise have been lost to time. Within these pages are the voices of parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who shaped who we are. Some of their stories are joyful, others are marked by hardship, but together they remind us that our greatest inheritance has never been possessions. It has always been one another.
 
My hope is that The Story of Us will do more than preserve our past. I hope it will encourage each of us to invest more deeply in our family, to gather whenever we can, to tell the stories again, to remember the names, and to leave those who come after us something worth holding onto.
 
It has been one of the great privileges of my life to gather these stories and preserve them for our family. May they remind us where we came from, strengthen the bonds we share today, and inspire future generations to continue writing the story that began long before us.
